IntelliBond: Unique, Exclusive “Smart Bonds”

We continue to introduce the Intellibond Range of trace minerals from Micronutrients (USA) to the SA feed industry and in the process, emphasise our core value proposition, namely: ‘The IntelliBond line of products makes use of unique, exclusive “smart bonds” that work to ensure the minerals respond when and where they are supposed to—both in the feed and in the animal. These “smart bonds” create minerals that avoid unwanted interactions, which can either oxidize or bind to other ingredients.

As a result, hydroxy trace minerals have an optimal efficacy that is at very least on par with the best organic minerals at a price point that is far more cost-effective.’ The response from the feed industry has been very positive with the result that these trace minerals are already going into feeds in SA. We attribute this response to the fact that these products are meeting the need for high trace mineral bioavailability that is suited for the demands of high producing animals at prices that can deliver improved profitability. In addition to this strong value proposition comes the substantial quality assurances offered by Micronutrients.

Not only are the IntelliBond metal feedstock’s secured from sources that provide full source transparency and the highest level of quality, but also fully comply with the quality standards accepted for use within the North American feed industry, with rigorous audits and certification from the following third party quality assurance programmes: 1. HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) 2. The Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification Program which is a voluntary, independently certified program designed for the total feed industry. The Safe Feed/Safe Food program establishes comprehensive standards of excellence that go beyond existing regulations to maximize food and feed safety. 3. ISO 9002 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles on which the family of standards is based. 4. FAMI-QS is a derivation of European Feed Additives and Pre-mixtures Quality System and guarantees the implementation of the requirements for feed hygiene in animal nutrition. 5. OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) provides organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing.

In addition to the above we are also proud to confirm that we have been audited and found to be compliant by AFMA (Animal Feed Manufacturers Association).
