Optimin SeY
Optimin SeY is an inactivated yeast enriched with selenium (Se). Its production process imitates the natural way organic selenium is incorporated into plants. Like plants, the specific strain used in Optimin SeY (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) absorbs inorganic selenium and converts it into organic selenium, which is incorporated mainly into selenomethionine (SeMet) and selenocysteine (SeCys). Optimin organic selenium provides a combination of various forms of natural organic selenium. It contains both selenomethionine (SeMet) and selenocysteine (SeCys) as well as other seleno-compounds unlike synthetically produced seleniums that contain only selenomethionine.
